True but for me design of razor head is major factor that covers side of blades.

Tradere SB is like that too. Great razor if u can get good one. First one for me was just amazing and second after I regret selling it was a no go:/

Aesthetics and head-design of the PILS leaves all other razors in the dust. The only reason I might go for the Feather 1.2:1 over the PILS is the grip-factor.

Except for the slippery grip of the Pils, it is a good, efficient beautiful and minimalist razor. That's why, I love the rare Ikon Modern which is Pils-inspired but has a knurled handle. I am lucky enough to have one of the 81 or so produced.

Cheers. Trying my best. NHS and public emergency services need our support more than ever. They take for us priority above everything else. My staff who service them had a choice to refuse as we didn’t want to put nobody at risk even with all precautions possible and actually possibly hospitals ironically being safest and cleanest places. They all volunteered to continue to work. People with pregnant wife’s or in high risk area were given priority to go on furlough. Think it was fairest we could do

For me, the beginning of the current day stainless steel high-end DE started with the PILS. I do not shave with mine often, but when I do I always enjoy shaving with it. The smooth handle is not an issue for me as I use straight razors and learned from straight razor shaving how to avoid getting handles wet.

I have no issues with grip with mine either, if your hands are wet but not soapy it's fine.

No issues with grip for me either. A rub of the alum block sorts out all grip issues if any.

I didn't mean to imply there were any issues with the PILS, I only mentioned the grip to provide context on why I give the Feather 99.8, where as the PILS gets a 99.7. They'd both get 100, but I had to deduct points for the trauma I would go through were I to lose one while travelling. I can't bear the thought!

The Pils is a fine razor, beautifully made and aesthetically pleasing but it isn't a RAD killer IMHO. It shaves well, no problem there but it only suits certain shavers. All razors are the same. No one razor suits all. If it suits you, it'll serve you well for a lifetime. Unfortuntely I didn't get on with it as well as some. Great razor though, no doubt there.

One of the things I prefer about the Feather is that I can just rinse it and leave it to dry, whereas with the Pils I have to loosen the head.
