Extreme sharpness is ephemeral!
Took these few photos on my daily walk today, the old Town Hall is no longer in use, and the Carnegie Library is still open. I hope it doesn't go the way of so many good buildings in my town, the Labour Council in my town have a lot of past form for leaving historic and good quality buildings fall into disrepair without any intervention.

A photographic study I did last year at a local St Tydfils Hospital. Formerly, the Merthyr Union Workhouse was built in 1853.

It was built to provide poor relief for paupers. It also had an Infirmary, a Fever ward, and a Maternity ward. Before this, poor relief was provided by the Parish. Doctor T. J. Dyke Medical Officer of Health, reported in 1866, "The number of poor people relieved by the Parish decreased from 55 hundred to 33 hundred in 1866."

Forum GOD!
A true masterpiece of waterfront architecture and engineering, the Mole Vanvitelliana is a lazaretto built by Luigi Vanvitelli between 1733 and 1743. It stands on a pentagonal artificial island within the harbor; today it is connected to the mainland by three bridges and occupies a surface area of 20,000 m².
