Passed this round house, I guess it was once a lookout tower as it’s at the top of a hill, on the post-Christmas dinner walk.

Local small mine, Rhigos South Wales, I took these photos in the early 1990s, real hard-working tough men, all the coal was mined and cut by hand then manually shovelled into the drams and hauled out by Horse, no mechanization, which was quite common for small mines in the South Wales valleys.
