It's... alive!
I get the feeling winter on the British isles mostly looks more like autumn on the contitent. Windy, drizzly weather. Some snow up in the Highlands.
Having said that, during lockdown, there had been more sunny weather than I remember there being in the last 5 years here at the same time of the year.
A good, cold, snowy winter is kind of nice, as long as your house has decent insulation and double or triple glazed windows. :)

We get some pretty good wind and rain down in the South West in the winter.
Keeps you hanging on to your hat.
Put the bins in the garage so that they don't blow away.
But snow doesn't happen very often.
