Same, can’t stand the snow and cold. Would much prefer the summer, warmer and longer day light.

When I was younger the winter months did not bother me but as I got older they get harder to take.

I grew up in the tropics, but I love winter. My wife thinks I’m crazy; she grew up in England and hates winter…go figure.

I get the feeling winter on the British isles mostly looks more like autumn on the contitent. Windy, drizzly weather. Some snow up in the Highlands.
Having said that, during lockdown, there had been more sunny weather than I remember there being in the last 5 years here at the same time of the year.
A good, cold, snowy winter is kind of nice, as long as your house has decent insulation and double or triple glazed windows.

We get some pretty good wind and rain down in the South West in the winter.
Keeps you hanging on to your hat.
Put the bins in the garage so that they don't blow away.
But snow doesn't happen very often.

I remember flying into London in January, I think it was, and was surprised to see snow on the ground.
