Phoenix & Beau LE 2017

I've been thinking about having Allesandro at PantaRei make me a few of the ceramic soap dishes for the two LE's I'm in for on here and my Spitfires. I know they are polarising but I like them, they make me smile.
Nobody goes in my bathroom/den except me. I carry that few soaps that they are all on display. It's not even like anyone else would ever see them on display but me, but, nice things in nice packaging makes me happy. P&B performance is up there, packaging for me is not.
My Spitfires live in a drawer because I don't want to look at them side by side with the ceramic and glass containers of my other products, it gives me a sad face, I don't want a sad face, I want to smile.

Random question why are these larger tubs preferred or is it very much a YMMV aspect? I ask this as MdC fill their product to the brim and I have no issues lathering this, I lose very little which I don't lose sleep over. Haslinger I put in my palm and lather, other such as Proraso, TOBS soap and Jabonman don't have huge containers with lots of space, yet no loading issues. Just curious as to the actual advantage.
Ive found that somewhere around a 4 inch diameter is ideal for me and a little extra depth doesn't hurt with spill over which I do seem to get. I load my brush on the wetter side as to prevent too long a facelather which can irritate my face. Ive found smaller containers only load the center of my brushes and I like making full revolutions when I load. Ive grown to like screw top lids as they seem to maintain the soap consistency over a longer period and keep it from drying out with a better seal. Still all personal preference really.

Hi Nick, it is to my nose a sweet scent, I get fruity zesty notes, smoothened with a slight vanilla and almost ozone note. It wasn't quite right for me, but my wife is loving it. Needed a closer match to oud IMO, which Kerry is working on for us :)
ohhh sounds lovely, Nishy. I can't wait for the finished product. :bravo:

@Nishy

I'll get Scimitar V.4 down to you by the end of the week. I've dialled down the sweetness and boosted the oud with the following profile:
  • Oud (the dominant note)
  • Tobacco leaf
  • Amber
  • Rosewood
  • Patchouli
  • Juniper
  • Bergamot
Keep your eyes peeled!

KB.
Thanks Kerry :)
