Just to help those gauge the scent profile, what I am looking for is two separate profiles married as one. The only part I have physically is Perfume Parlour's interpretation of TF Oud. The shisha aspect mixed with turmeric and grape wood is something I have built and sent to Kerry.
So in light of this I would like to give a decent representation on what I consider to be the profile of PP Oud Wood. As a side note, Perfume Parlour's now list this as 'Oud woodies' I have ordered it to see if it is the same profile.

On application I firstly detect the warmth of the sandalwood, which is combined with a slightly earthy vetiver, then mixed with clean pepper spice amber and freshly sawn wood (light). The vanilla and tonka bean doesn't add a great deal of sweetness and smoothens the edges of the vetiver and sandalwood opening. The Oud almost has a mango skin tone, warm, woody and spiced. It brings all the above together and lingers on the skin. Rose becomes apparent after 15 minutes or so, as the pepper becomes more subdued and enhances without overpowering the vetiver, sandalwood and oud. I also detect slight amounts of spicy lavender, basil/coriander and a very light aqua, but these are middle notes and not apparent till several hours of wear.
I hope this provides a little more detail on the scent profile. If the newer version (Oud woodies) is the same as the old 'Oud wood' (should find out in a few days) it is well worth purchasing a 3ml roll on, with delivery I think it will set you back a fiver. Great fragrance and lasts at least 3/4 hours on my person. Only issue I have is the oud becomes almost bitter (perhaps due to the base oil) when worn for over 4 hours. At this price it isn't a deal breaker, I don't expect the oud to be high end.
I'm hoping and will confirm via the testing phase, that the sweet tobacco and grape will add depth allowing the lighter profile to become further complex and lasting.
