Well, I've also sent and received hundrends of parcels abroad, I only had problems with missing stuff in France and the UK.I used to sell quite a bit of hifi equipment and this was also common knowledge in that game, many will not post to Italy and if you do it must be tracked & insured, even then there is no guarantee of delivery, you just have to hope for the best and put in a claim if it vanishes.
I've sent stuff all over the word... France, Spain, Germany, USA, Canada, Kazakhstan(!), Czech, Serbia, Ukraine, Russia, Japan, S.Korea etc etc and the only occasions anything has gone missing was when the parcels were going to Italy and Greece.

Also, FYI gentlemen, the UK is one of the few countries where we can not send insured parcels with the regular postal services. We have to use Fedex, DHL etc.

At the moment I personally never got troubles, just a few cases where the courier said I wasn't at home while I was at home
