It's... alive!
I made the ST-2 list, too.
26-27mm knot diameter and 52-53mm loft (I'd call 26mm and 53mm respectively), although mine feels a dinky because of the larger handle and short loft.
I received it yesterday or the day before yesterday and only used it once so far - today.
It's a rather interesting brush and reminds me of a horse mane hair brush - the Zenith extra soft.
Unlike most synthetics I've tried, the hair has nearly no spring. If I nudge it to the side, it just stays there. There isn't much backbone to speak of.
On the face, it fels like... not much of anything. Cloud-like would probably be apt. Or perhaps "poofy."
I tried it with Reggie's Razors shaving cream, and it fared pretty well. A slightly slower start, but it hit the stride quickly and ended up producing very nice, fluffy lather, just how I like it. Perhaps even fluffier than the Edwin Jagger XL brush I have, which is one that produces good lather in a pretty short amount of time, and the ST-2 managed it in about the same time the EJ usually does.
What I was most impressed by was lather release. It didn't seem to hog lather at all, and when rinsing the brush after the shave, I managed to rinse the soap out in a jiffy.
It's clearly not a brush for those who like loads of backbone in their brushes.
I was going to say that I would have prefered a 28-30mm knot, but I didn't actually feel the brush lacked performance-wise at all, and I'm not sure there would be a benefit having a larger knot, seeing as this brush held enough lather for 3 passes, touch-ups and still had a little left over.
In fact, I'd say it performed better than the EJ XL brush I mentioned usually does, and that one's very good (except for very prickly tips, although I've learned how to deal with those).

It’s a personal taste thing. I hate treated tips / gel tips because I think they feel slimy. Others love their plush feel.

Not very visible in the photos though ...
A sick foam/cream - a new generation of fibre with its pluses and minuses, which will be passed on regularly to the manufacturer for 3 weeks.

The ST-2 knotted brush on the left 'completes' my Oumo synthetic collection (all 27mm).
Can't go wrong with any of these knots, they all work very well but they do have different characteristics (what follows is obviously subjective):
From left to right, softest to stiffest knots: ST-2, ST-1, S-1 Sparrow, ST-1 Extra Dense.
The ultra-soft ST-2 (bulb) reminds me of my wife's make-up brushes but the lather-making is as good as the other knots, if not better. If you can get past the powder brush feel, it could be The One. Oumo recommends a lower loft setting. Some tout the ST-2 as Oumo's answer to Wald's synthetic - but I've never tried a Wald. Maybe someone who has both could comment?
At the other end, I'd recommend the very stiff ST-1 Extra Dense (fan) for those who mash 'n bash their brushes or like a lot of scrub.
The ST-1 (bulb) and grey Sparrow (fan) are the most conventional: the Sparrow is the slightly stiffer of the two and a lot cheaper but I've read reports of prominent glue bumps especially in the smaller Sparrow sizes and/or bulbs (no bump on my large fan Sparrow or indeed any of the other knots).
So I'd perhaps recommend the 'all-rounder' ST-1 if you're starting an Oumo synthetic collection. It's an excellent knot and reminds me of my first generation Mühle STF, perhaps slightly stiffer.
If you're making your own handle for an Oumo knot, Oumo handles have a hole about 20mm-deep. If you like to set your own knots (as I do) and also order an Oumo handle, make sure to specify this through the site chat function or they'll set the knot for you by default. Mine are Oumo handles and I added a plastic washer (about 2mm) to all four brushes which suits me with the knots I chose (I don't like short lofts) but of course we all have different preferences.
My four Oumo handle models (left to right): Element, Big Hand, Venus and Fortress - all at the lower end of Oumo's price range and acquired during Oumo's frequent discount sales.
