I have the pleasure of being an R&D tester for OUMO and have now tested all 3 iterations of the up and coming new Super Fiber Knots the R1 is the first 2 pics, the ST1 which is the second 2 pics and the shelved SF1 which is the last pic that a green knot. The Green which was just too prickly and looked different but was not pleasing to use. Out of the 2 other knots the ST1 is my fav which takes the best bits of Muhles STF and Simpsons Platinum knots. The R1 is more like a SHD Black badger in feel as it has some scritch. Bother the R1 and ST1 are being further revised based on testing feedback and I can't wait to see how they turn out. Great water retention, pass through, aplay and face feel from the ST1 I and other testers have asked for the shape to be more like the marketing pics put out as the samples sent to us were very narrow fans and not as wider spread. And as synthetics don't open up as much as natural hair we haven't seen large difference in shape with prolonged heavy use..

What are peoples experiences of the ST-1 knots? I’m tempted but with shipping they’re not cheap knots so I’m holding fire before taking the plunge but the 27mm in either fan or bulb look very nice.

Those two knots are among my favourite synthetic knots (plus the Simpson Sovereign and original Simpson premium knots) so that bodes well. I just baulk at paying $10 shipping from China when I’m used to free postage 😂

Oumo Giant Bone 24mm 5th special edition hand tied two band.

Delivered with the classic red pouch.

Knot is dense and I hope it will deliver same chubby like feeling I got from the 24mm WT.

The handle is matte finish with some texture, excelent grip even with soap on it. (I think it can be painted with acrylic if you get bored).

Slimmer girth than my other Oumos.

Comparison photo with the RWSC anniversary 26mm Fan LOD SHD and colourful 26mm WT knot.

Flawless knotting, the hair going a few mm in the handle before being glued. (Rare stuff on many manufacturers that glue them right at the begining of the edge of the handle, sometimes even having glue bumps).

*picture is after first wash, partially dried.
