Odd Foods - Misc Shell Fish.

I’ve never tried a fish that swims that I didn’t like, but I’m not a fan of shellfish. The fact that God made them look like bogeys, put them into nigh-impossible to open shells, and then dropped them down into the depths of the ocean are signs that we were not meant to eat them.

I was up in Northumberland for a short break only a few weeks ago ...

We had a meal in Craster at The Jolly Fisherman (naturally) and for that meal, I had the local crab (of course) but enjoyed Craster kippers for breakfast each day at the place we were staying.

Pacific Clams can be quite huge, up to a metre wide.
I have been lucky enough to have had them cooked in coconut milk in an earth oven, whilst serving in the Solomon Islands.
At one time, we hosted visits by a a fishing family who caught Troccus mother of pearl shell)..The Shells were boiled in 45gallon drums.so the shell could be ready for market. I and my local work force then had the opportunity to eat the very edible contents.
