How do you know one razor is different from another?

I don’t, hence the question.
OK, to hopefully make my original question clear: In terms of the actual shaving experience what are the differences between the Lupo and the GC?
I can see that they're a different design but that does not tell me what they shave like.

I hope I can help with this. I haven't used the GC nor the .95 Lupo so I've no idea how they shave. I do however own the .72 Lupo.
I prefer using a more 'aggressive' razor and have regularly used the R41, ATT R2 & Fatip piccolo in the past. All great shavers IMO but they require a bit of concentration. I wanted a razor which could equal their efficiency but could be used with less caution and if needed, on a daily basis. The Lupo .72 is that razor. It's extremely efficient but very smooth and there's enough blade feel if you're looking for that(which I do).
I also think it's a very good design.
I know I haven't really answered your original question but hopefully it'll give you an idea as to how it shaves. It's the only DE I use now. Before I acquired the Lupo I was worried it would be similar to a 34C. It's a world apart. Nothing like it IMO. The 34C is extremely mild in comparison!
Thank you. I do not like blade feel so the GC is probably a better fit for me.

It’s been a bit since my last post here. Came around to using the Lupo .95 along with the Ethos soap and it was like putting on a well worn and comfy baseball cap. It kind of leaves one perplexed at still the questions that many have concerning this series from Razorock, Lupo series that is. It just covers nearly every range from mildly efficient to mid-aggressive yet still staying an overall smooth shaver. It’s relatively easy on the skin depending on your choice of size and it takes down whiskers with substantial ease. Sometimes we just overthink our shave parameters or the tools we use. Most times all it takes is a simple and slight adjustment on one’s shave angle or technique and bingo, it just clicks. Not every razor does that (as some offer a smaller or narrower window for angle adjustment) understandably but, the range for which the Lupo offers for technique variation is really quite remarkable.
It’s not a jewel in terms of finish nor a totally utilitarian looking piece of kit say, the Rockwell 6s or The Merica razor from WSC. It sits right in the middle with quality and craftsmanship equal to some of the best in this niche industry. You could buy the complete whole set up for well under $150 US and nearly be able to call it an adjustable a la the 6s/6c or the Karve. And whatever plate(s) that does not work for one, you get a nice return by putting it up on the b/s/t and keeping what works.
It’s not the end all be all razor in the market. Unfortunately, that razor will never exist simply because of the individual demands that a user expects from their tool based on their specific criteria and needs.
But, this razor sure does bring value and performance to the table for the vast majority of wet shavers out there. Every time I use it I enjoy the heck out of it because it simply delivers a fine shave 99% of the time. The other 1% percent when it‘s a bit off is solely on user error, in my experience. Yes, it shares a place with my Rocnel Sailor ‘21, Taiga, Timeless Ti and a couple of others in the den. Not bad company to be quite honest…..

Totally agreed and It's so slim and very maneuverable to do detailed work around nose with ease it's the razor i find my selve reaching out for all the time and for the price and quality stainless steel it can't be beaten.

I know it's a broken record and blah, blah, blah....
What can I tell you? It works, plain & simple. Lupo .95 & a Feather equals a very efficient yet quite forgiving shave if you have solid shave technique. No, you don't need to be a Wu-Tang Clan White Lotus Master to excel with it or a graduate disciple of the Shaolin Monk 36th Chamber Sifu. I enjoy the .95, others enjoy the .72 and another group gets it with the DC .72/.95 set up. For the $$$, it covers the range of shavers extraordinarily well.
Not perfect as nothing is in the shave realm but, it's a really, really good line from Razorock.

Amazing, right? I'm down to only one DE razor in stainless steel and it's Lupo .95.
I don't have a Lupo nor a GC, but there is little that RazoRock does wrong, in my opinion. Their RR Wunderbar slant is very efficient and smooth; I like to keep their Black Mamba 70 close by for those occasions in which I have to shave again in the evening (for some kind of social event); their version of the Merkur 37 is very nice too ... Good to see that their Lupo is well liked!
