The place I gas up at has pump jockeys. I tell them I want a fill up, they tell me the pump number, I tell the cashier inside the pump number and pay the bill inside.

In most cases we fill up and pay at the pump or in the shop. A common thing over here is to nick the plates off another car and fill up using the stolen plates. I had my plates stolen once. Reported it to the Police and never heard a thing after, thankfully.

What benefit is there to stealing license plates in relation to buying gasoline?
CCTV is in place at all gas stations, if someone steals gas then they will be traced through the registration plate, if someone has a fake plate on their car then tracing is much more difficult. The cost of filling even a small car tank is now around $130.

An additional trick system that the gas station uses is that if you have driven off without paying (a specific legal offence by the way) then if you go back to the same gas station the pump will not work, the CCTV 'talks' to the pump.

Pop them on your car to hide your registration fill up, drive off switch back to your reg plates.
I see. Thank you. My brain isn’t wired to think that way.

Not sure how common it is recently though. It’s a real pain in the U.K. if you get plates stolen. You can’t drive the car and should produce documents when buying some new ones. After that the new ones were stuck on with no more nails tape. I don’t know how people even have the nerve to steal them let alone use them.

The older system where the plates were screwed on might be more secure, especially if you took a drill to the Phillips screw heads and round out the middle.

just been a struggle the past couple of weeks or so... part of which is wifi connections... hate wifi and it sucks that where we live wifi tends to be the only phone call and text message connection we get...
It’s become such an integral part of life now especially to stay in contact or keep socially active like on here. Hope it sorts itself out soon 👍

Very best
Mark

the past several months we've been looking in different places for DE blades with none found... it seems in this newish area to us a little odd that not even pharmacies have any in stock... and we only found one place that has Bic disposables...

Please don't start talking about Bic disposables, while I'm still spinal rehab, you're gunna give me a massive headache talking about biccie cartridge razors, IF I don't get out of the bloody rehab.
