not for nothing... humans don't know how many of us throughout these vaccines being around got/get terrible side effects or death from the vaccines... we have what we call family traits our human bodies can make humans that can have autistim and/or several other problems... are they side effects from vaccines or just what the families' human bodies like to make... yes yes... mass illnesses or whatever are terrible things but with corporations controling these vaccines why trust them... just from the beer-flu... which corporation's vaccine and how many did you get so far? 0 here and maybe had the beer-flu during the planned panic 1 out of 4 times we were forced to get tested about...

It is possible to find reliable information and make an informed consent on vaccine use. Herein lies the problem, some humans tend to rely on information that is not evidenced based information and so, are uninformed, while thinking they are informed. For example, if I asked you why you used autism in a discussion about vaccines, what would you say? Given that Wakefield was thoroughly debunked in his research, people continue to think there is a link with the MMR vaccine and autism. It would be possible for me to actually link sound, peer reviewed research, and some would continue to think a link exists.

For me, what makes like both interesting and tragic is the lack of rigor human show in deciding to think as they do. We rely too much on hearsay. I do it myself on some topics.

ok so my families have different family traits as we/i think of them... one half can make humans with diabetes what i didn't add in my reply... they are also the family that autism is a trait... the other half has neither of these 2 traits... anyway i'm overthinking this and it probably doesn't belong in this thread so i will stop tapping out my thoughts...

My family was deeply affected by Wakefield's now debunked research. We had a physician in our church who gave voice to a woman whose son was autistic and blamed it on the MMR vaccine. I remember doing some research into possible causes for autism. Maternal age can be a factor. This is as recent as I could find, Odds Of Having A Child With Autism By Age | Advanced Autism Services The primigravida who spoke was in her mid to late 30's. I am not suggesting this was the cause, but that it is a possible cause.

Years later there was a family dispute over the use of vaccines in our grandchildren. I could not convince a family member Wakefield's research had been debunked. What I learned is that people decide what to believe and will only listen to information that supports that belief even if it does harm. There is a smugness of ignorance.

I had a co-worker who often bragged she never vaccinated her four sons and nothing happened. I countered the reason nothing happened is because everyone else did. Things are different now. With more parents opting out, the unvaccinated children are suffering.

I think with many things in Health Care, if you don't know the facts or don't have any experience of that subject, there can be an attraction to let things "Be Natural" or "As God Intended" or believe that "The body heals itself" rather than ingest the man-made substance.

Such thinking has, of course, no evidence to support it, but there are many people who believe that nothing is better than something when it comes to taking medicine.

Specfically in this case his claim that the MMR vaccine causes autism. I disagree with his war on vaccines but am not sufficiently interested in him to look into it further.

Being autistic myself I have done plenty of research into possible causes, the current position is that we simply do not know. It's believed that there may be a genetic factor but the research into causes is still in very early stages.

Edit - 'primigravida' learned a new word today. :)

Well, it is Friday 13th…

1. Ages ago I bought a very nice Valentine card for Mrs P and congratulated myself on my forethought. Put it away on a safe place and, you’ve guessed it. I now can’t find the wretched thing. Had to panic buy an inferior replacement.

2. The collection days for our variously coloured bins have been changed. The brown one was emptied correctly yesterday but today, green bin day, nothing. Nix. Nowt. All 20 houses in our development missed. Eventually got through to the Council to report. Told to leave them out. I knew this reorganisation was a bad idea. Never had a problem with our old crew. Changes to a new ne and everything goes bosoms vertical.

Bah!
