I saw one of those red buckets in our cleaning supplies closet. Has a spinner feature that wrings out excess water from the mop head. I used to watch Gayle use it.

I was trying to ignore its existence, but now that I’ve outed my reduced housekeeping routine, I can hide it no longer. As soon as my ailing back allows, I’ll get right on it :meh:
Yes, that’s the one!! The spinner mechanism works well.

If you ever need a vacuum, I got a canister type with three power levels made by Aspiron. I recommend over any stick type.

White vinegar and olive oil recipes in a spray bottle make good furniture dust products. It’s recommended for those with allergies.

Oh, don't get me started! I think the big guy upstairs enjoys looking down on us old guys and watching hair sprout where it never belonged in the first place. Makes me nuts. :hyper:
It’s been scientifically proven that eating dirt as a child makes ear and nose hair grow like weeds after 55. Not!!🥳🥳

Sadly I regularly pluck hair off my ears and I actually own an electric nose hair trimmer. The trimmer was a gift from my ex-brother in law. I thought it was weird but chalked it up to his not knowing what to get me and not having much money for anything. But now that I think about it, was he trying to tell me something? Doesn't matter. He's an a hole and I divorced his wife's sister. In fact they are divorced now too. Oops! Time to pluck those ear hairs again!

So, I use an early ‘30’s Schick injector for ears, but be careful.

I was told not to cut or shave the ear hairs by my barber. She said just keep plucking them. Over time they will just get finer and finer. I'm not seeing that. Frankly, they aren't getting finer and there seems to be more and more every day. It sucks getting old.

So, I really haven't been wet shaving much these past few years. Have relied upon a trimmer and just keeping a scruffy look. But I've been missing my shaves. Last week I went away to the mountains for a few days and made a point to bring my travel kit. I got a shave in a couple days into the trip. Ended up using an older blade which meant it wasn't all that close of a shave. But that didn't matter. I was invigorated by the ritual and the various scents I use. And this morning I took the time for a nice shave and got a BBS. First time in a while. That got me wondering what gear I have. Now, mind you, I have a box with blades, misc. razor parts, shave soap and cream samples, toothbrush and rag for cleaning/polishing. I also have my lather bowls on top of that box, my 5 or 6 most used razors, about 10 brushes, stacks of creams and soaps and all my aftershaves. All of the above on top of a high dresser. Then I also have two plastic containers filled with stuff. One has hardware such as about 30 razors, mostly vintage Gillette, other brushes I don't use, cases for razors, etc. The other container has software. I hadn't looked in either container in quite some time so was pleasantly surprised to find stuff I didn't know I had. One thing was a couple bowls of Bib & Tucker Bitter Orange shaving cream, extra Haslinger Schafmilch pucks (with tallow), an extra TOBS Sandalwood cream bowl, an extra Body Shop shaving cream (the original version) and a bunch of other soaps and creams and aftershaves. I added a puck of Mitchell's Wool Fat (new formula ) soap that arrived today. I have about a quarter of the original formula Mitchell's Wool Fat. I used the other 3/4 by mixing it 50/50 with the Haslinger. I find that combination to be my favorite "soap". Sadly, I don't have any more tallow version of the Mitchell's. But I'm trying to grab some online if the seller will prove to me it's tallow and not palm oil. But my point was I didn't know I had half of the stuff I found in these containers. I think I might start inventorying my razors and think about selling a few of them. I love finding stuff I didn't know I had. And my next shave will let me try out the Bib & Tucker Bitter Orange. I'm kind of curious about the activated charcoal in there. Things that make you go hmmmmm......

Good pictorial of vertical integration.
I nearly got fired from a CEO, when he admitted and knew I was right, but, he wouldn't give me a pay rise, so I gave him the middle finger and carry on my job.

Not anymore now, I've been medically retired (PTSD) since 2016, and having an enjoyable peaceful life without dealing with engineering corporate @rsehole.

I'm also retired since January 1, 2017. I did do some work from 1/1/2018 to about mid year 2020 but it was far from a full time job and I just hated it so I don't count it. But I don't miss the corporate bureaucracy, the bull*hit politics and babysitting the lower level people who just don't get it. That's not all the lower level people. Some of them are quite valuable and effective. And those are the ones I promoted. But so many others act like children. But that stress is gone. Replaced by periods when I question my self worth because I'm not working and can't just go out and buy whatever I want anymore. So certain stress is replaced by other stress. But I've started to value my free time and begun to try and make better use of my time here. It sort of dawned on me that my time here is kind of limited at this point. And I already shaved today so gotta wait a day or two.

That's why I became a Freemason since 2000, to keep myself occupied, I go to lodges 6 nights every month, so I never get bloody bored.

Oh, this year will be a bit different for me. I'm now working with two bands and was appointed to my town's Zoning Board effective 1/1/25. I'm actually starting to wonder if I can handle all of it.
