Conversely, in a free country the media can also choose not to cover it. It is the media's choice to do either. In a free country the media could make it an issue that the gov would have to resolve.

We've seen way too much of that, unfortunately.Conversely, in a free country the media can also choose not to cover it. It is the media's choice to do either.

In a free country the population has a choice of which media they choose to watch. You have to live with a pov that runs counter to your own. The alternative is to have only media controlled by the government and that will guarantee only propaganda is delivered with no counter pov. We've seen way too much of that, unfortunately.
Seems to me that there is nothing "vaguely" about it.Interesting. While not coming right out and making a direct comparison, it portrays a societal shift vaguely reminiscent of Russian oligarchy’s derivative influence and benefit from its involvement with the political class.
I found the link to Fox News on a Google search. I also recognize how heavily biased Fox News is. I guess they do occasionally do articles like the one in the linked to keep critics at bay. I try very hard to read different media and recognize which way they lean and how heavily so. If you confine yourself to one source for information it becomes like reading the old soviet Pravda or the Volkisher Beobachter in Nazi Germany as your only source.MSM is circling the drain, honest news is everywhere. Google is useless for anything that doesn't follow the narrative.
