Speaking of TV ads, it is the ones that talk about home deliveries, they often have the sound of a door bell, always the same sound as my own, I expect that this is deliberate.

Not to mention the disclaimers, "Car portrayed costs £8,000 more than the base price we advertised loudly at the beginning. May include options not available in your country."

I did used to wonder about the speedboat, most people wouldn't have any use for one anyway.

Not travelling as much as I used to - but often found it difficult to work out how Shower controls worked in the various places we stayed - just so many different makes and models - and never any instructions.

I’ve travelled domestically and internationally for business and pleasure for more than 50 years. Last August we were in Copenhagen and the shower controls in our hotel room were the most arcane I’ve eve come across. It took my wife and me nearly 10 minutes to work them out. On my first attempt I nearly scalded myself.
