Glued parts aren't exclusive to Muhle. The Wolfman Guerrilla has a hollow handle that is glued. I was really incensed when I saw it on Youtube. If you believe you are paying for solid turned stainless steel it is a major let down to find out you are in essence being conned with cheaper parts.
That’s correct. I can live with glued parts in the handle like in the Guerrilla, but no in the head.

Mühle is very generous with service; would you return it now for an issue that might never happen?

Pitralon forever - Real pens have a nib - If it doesn't tick, it's not a watch.
I wrote to Muhle and got a quick answer that the pins are welded, not glued. Maybe I need to calm down :).

Agreed. Use and enjoy it. If it breaks, email Mühle... That’s exactly what I did with an R41 that was disintegrating and they sent a replacement out next day delivery no quibble, in fact they apologised profusely.

Copied from the Wolfman website: "Made from 316L stainless steel. The razor head is machined from solid bar stock, and the handle consists of 3 pieces that are machined and then permanently assembled. The main body of the handle is 316L stainless steel 16 gauge tubing, making this a light weight handle for its size."

They also posted the video on YouTube showing the assembly process, how exactly are they conning anyone? FWIW the parts are assembled using red LocTite and a press, they're not coming apart again. Personally I really like the hollow handle, I have a solid stainless UFO the same size that I don't use because it's too heavy.

According to a German vendor (and operator of the German shaving forum nassrasur.com) who's in frequent contact with Mühle, the new head and base plates are CNC milled and the small parts are welded to the head plate. Mühle apparently knows of a total of four customer complaints about such a defect, out of several hundred items sold by now. He also said that Mühle would replace damaged parts "free of charge even years later".

If you’ve got a V2 R96 Rocca you want shut of due to concerns over it falling apart in your hand I’ll happily trade you my built like a tank Long Handle Mergress.

I agree with @Sausage it’s just not a robust construction. I find it amusing that people chose to ignore the issue and still buy it.
Well my concern was about glueing of the parts. I am more confident about welding.
We don't really know what went wrong with those couple of razors that lost their pins.

Looks to me like a tiny spot weld. I actually would be a lot less concerned if it was glued as there are pretty amazing adhesives nowadays or anaerobic Loctite

Maybe with better quality control these failed razors would have been withdrawn originally from Muhle's supply and not delivered to customers. Well time will tell how durable their welding solution actually is.

But I have to say Rocca shaves wonderful now that I have some more shaves with it.
