Well the BBS is quite probably the sexiest looking razor available (semi) today, I think it's fair to say you have reached the pinnacle of modern razors and I would imagine that contented feeling could take some time to dissipate, jammy buggerOf course I will at some point...but I'm enjoying and will suck out all I can of this odd feeling of 'contentment' for as long as I can![]()

Until the rumoured BBS-2 comes out next year...... ;-)Well the BBS is quite probably the sexiest looking razor available (semi) today, I think it's fair to say you have reached the pinnacle of modern razors and I would imagine that contented feeling could take some time to dissipate, jammy bugger![]()
Since I love my Barbaros TR-1 and really enjoy my Rocnel razors...I am willing to take a gamble on that a collab between the two of them will result in something I will enjoyYes, yes it is but as with all things shave related this is my opinion![]()

I'd not heard anything about a new version, certainly exiting time we are in, there has been an great deal of activity over the last five or six years, it's good to see so many folk trying to get me to part with my moneyUntil the rumoured BBS-2 comes out next year...... ;-)

In my case an additional 7% tax so talking $214Just checked their website.
They're nuts if they think I'm going to pay that much for that razor.
The Birch handle one and the all Jet Black one are $199.00.
Uh, nope.
I emailed Mühle Germany and asked, the heads are stainless steel. They are on the Muhle USA website however, what is troubling is no mention that the head is stainless steel. I tried calling Muhle and the number has been changed but it is unknown. This is a direct quote from their website regarding the Rocca Jet but the other models have similar writing.
"
ROCCA – Safety razor from MÜHLE – handle made of stainless steel
No frills, but with fine extras: The ROCCA razor could not be clearer or more masculine. Its uninterrupted lines from attachment to base make it both beautiful and practical: Thanks to its ergonomic shape and the surface structure of the handle, it feels good in your hand. As connoisseurs say: It has grip. It turns an everyday ritual into a daily design experience.
The surface structure of the black handle is a modern interpretation of the knurl on the handle of a classic safety razor. The honeycomb-like structure not only provides a contrasting accent to the satin-finished stainless steel, but is also very tactile, offering excellent grip.

My BBS-1 is actually saving me money now. This thing will have paid for itself in a few months based on the cost of all the DE razors I'm now passing onJust checked their website.

...such a great collection of razors would I suspect have a glaring hole without the new Muhle; and just think it maybe even better than the BBS...Muhle have been making razors for some time now...all that expertise and history may just count for something...put the icing on the cake of your collection...My BBS-1 is actually saving me money now. I hear what you're saying, but the BBS-1 and the new Mühle are probably a little different.
If it was all stainless, and they had a good picture somewhere showing the finish, and maybe some indication of how it shaves, I'd still wait for a review or 20 before considering it.
The fact that it has no lather drain holes speaks to me as cost cutting 100%. They are spinning it as a feature and I'm not buying that explanation.
For $200 I expect something like handmade or highest quality materials. Why not list what kind of steel the head is at least?
I'm not trying to stomp on the razor. Just the price and presentation. Those are seriously weak at this point in my opinion.
I do 'expect' the Rocca to be a very good razor - but in this case I think I prefer to sit back and wait for the reviews to come in....such a great collection of razors would I suspect have a glaring hole without the new Muhle; and just think it maybe even better than the BBS...Muhle have been making razors for some time now...all that expertise and history may just count for something...put the icing on the cake of your collection...![]()
