It occurred to me that in our community we use letters for abbreviations such as TTO, DE, SE, SR, BBS, RFB, OT, NEW, FB, SS, and I am sure others.

I've been a video game player since i was a kid and played at arcades or home with Pong and Intellivision... there were abbreviations and leet speak before the internets were born... humans in the internets need to abbreviate and to create their own speak to be cool like those humans over there---->
and there was and are limitations for the amount of characters that can be used... like in chat-rooms during the beginning of the internets had maybe 50...
