The shipment has arrived :) Just from opening the tub, its an exact match to 1445 and scent strength is the same as the balm. It mentions three times on the back of the tub to use a small amount of product and lots of water. So will be testing it this evening with half an almond sized blob. Love the scent of 1445 so very happy. Paraben free, but does contain several other chemicals if that's an issue. Consistency is consistent with the rest of CF creams. As with all CF creams it comes with a protective inner lid and sturdy plastic tub. Good stuff!

I bought mine from Shave lounge as I had points to use up (superb service as always) also available from others.

Thanks, Nishy!

This is good feedback. Do give us some pics if you get the chance although I guess it’s the scent here that will be of most interest to people.

I have a sample on the way.

Pics to follow, just took a few quick tub on lap, phone pics, whilst my dad drives us back to work. If your wondering why I'm making him drive, it is because he said it smells similar to Palmolive.

You can see the code from the inner lid imprinted on the surface of the cream, on the last picture.

Now that would be some expensive Palmolive.

No decent organic EO's in that product!
Regardless of EOs presence or not, I just find it funny that a high end product might have a scent like Palmolive. I like both the Palmolive shave sticks and the CF I have so a scent like that would not bother me. I get excellent shaves with either.

Have to agree with bob on this. Palmolive is my benchmark soap and also the one I get the least irritation from.

The 1445 scent is not that unique. There’s another called Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland which costs one third of the price for a 100ml bottle. It’s not as widely available as the 1445, but can be bought directly from the vendor. Totally recommend getting a sample at least. No shaving cream from that one though :)

I couldn't agree more with both of you. Palmolive is my bench mark when it comes to creams. Ingrams a close second. CF offer me two more positives (IMO). Firstly, using less product with CF, than Palmolive, offers a more dense lather. Secondly, only with regards to lavender IMO. CF scent is stronger and more invoking. Lavender definitely has a calming vibe for me. 1445 is a beautifully engineered gentleman's fragrance, it has great depth and marries the profiles religiously.

Just had a shave with the 1445 cream. What can I say. The scent develops and is stronger also more earthy than the balm (this is my only reference). Lather is as is expected. Extremely thick and cushioned as well as being slick. I used an R41 and Nacet blade to achieve a great close and irritation free shave. Love the scent and paired it up with another superb gentleman's fragrance, TOBS Mr Taylors. Excellent shave.

Incidentally I used a timber wolf knot which I also enjoyed.

Even with that much product, IMHO, you are using too much :)
It's literally a matter of just 'wiping' the brush onto the cream so that you barely have any on the bristles. All you need is water and then boom! the lather explodes as if out of nowhere.
