My Two Cents on my New Badger..........

Well couple of weeks ago I was gifted via P.I.F a Quality Badger Brush, it is a Whipped Dog - Silver Tip Badger Brush - 24 mm Knot, & 56 mm Loft.

Used it a week with PAA, Aka, Phoenix Shaving CK-6 Diver Down Soap. Would like to share my impression of this Quality Badger Brush.

Note never owner a Quality Silver -Tip Badger before, did own a Black Badger that was nothing special.

PROS:

Brush has good backbone, not like a Boar, and not even as much as my PAA Gen. ONE Non Glow in Dark - Moon Striker. But has some ability to scrub face.

Brush cleans up time is not bad, but is slower, compared to a Synthetic.

Brush dries fairly fast, but again Synthetic is king in drying speed.

Brush Handle is sort of small when I first saw it, but it is easy to grip, and doesn’t slip. So even thought it appears small, it work OK.

Brush’s Knot when dry is huge like an Easter Lilly in Bloom.

Brush make Lather, applies Lather, and does fair job Exfoliating Beard……Brush is a Brush.

CONS:

Brush is very slow to build Lather.

Brush absorbed lots of Water. Call it a very thirsty Brush.

Brush hold on to Lather, and Flow to Face is so so slow. For me way too slow, and is true Lather hog.

Honestly if I was going to list best to least favorite Brushes, Boar would be Number One, followed by PAA Synthetic Moon Stryker, and this Badger finished Third.

Being blunt, honest, and saying what I think, not all Badger Hair is equally, my Silver Tip is not my grail Brush but is very useable, just not my GRIAL. Personally don’t get all excited over Badger Hair, but it a personal choice…………..IMHO
