I am due to go to Robin Hoods Bay in North Yorkshire, a favourite place of mine, mainly because it was home to a smugglers network in the 1700s.
This vid from YouTube popped up with the panic title of Snowmageddon in North Yorkshire, for those of you with serious snow I thought it might make you laugh. The maker who has a strong North Yorkshire accent, tells a good story about life in the area.

Not been to RHB but we have enjoyed a couple of breaks in Staithes, just along the coast.

Robin Hoods Bay has a lot going for it but the hill from the top of the town down to the beach is as steep as any you will find and you cannot take your car down, so not for those with dicky hearts. It is an old fashioned holiday town, walk the beach looking for fossils and seeing what you can find in rock pools, many 300 year old cottages to look at and even smugglers tunnels. Probably changed now but there used to be a man who went out in his boat at 4AM, caught fish, brought it back to his shop, cooked it and when it was all gone he closed up, you couldn't find fresher fish than that.
If you are there for a couple of days there is a walk along the coast following the closed Whitby to RHB railway line with some spectacular views.

We took the granddaughters to a Santa event at a local combined Farm Museum & Heritage Railway today. Everyone enjoyed it, so that made it a Good Day.
However, the weather was cold, wet and miserable. So that made a Crap Day.
I suppose that makes it a Score Draw…

Got in a few minutes ago after shovel-plowing the inches of snow and it's still coming down... weather guessers say possibly 8 inches(20 cms?)... will go out later to do it again hopefully the white crap stops coming down by than...

A neighbour and his son, must be about 9 years old now, came round this afternoon for an unexpected chat with a cup of tea and a biscuit, I was suspicious when I saw the boys school exercise book.

The father. If it was the son, there would be a semi colon, or even a new sentence, instead of a comma.
