So far, we have not had those types of overnight temperatures and even during the day not that high. I will admit that I have had the AC on during the day when the humidity showed to be 4-5 degrees C higher than the actual temperature. I just can't take the humidity anymore. Definitely not looking forward to getting similar temps to what the UK is now enduring.

I lived in southern China for a while, the temperatures back then peaked at 32c and we have aircon going in every room because the humidity was 95-100%, so humid that clouds would form in cars when the AC was on full, southern China now has summer temperatures peaking at 37c with that same level of humidity, must be unbearable.

we have a three story town house with south facing windows to the first floor living room (second floor for our American friends). So it collects all the heat. Curtains have been drawn all day but it’s still like an oven.
So, if your second floor is called the first floor, what do you call the bottom floor?

Temperature after midnight still at 29c, not dropped at all.

You go into a house at the ground level, your footpath to the house is not at the first floor, it is on the ground, climb the stairs to the first floor, it is the first floor that the builders constructed, you then climb the second set of stairs to the second floor.
