Don’t seem to be able to catch a break this year ! After that wonderful cataract surgery there appears a set back In the form of a possible detached retina ! Seem to have the symptoms and the clinic want to see me tomorrow as a matter of urgency !

Turns out I have fluid in the back of the eye. More eye drops, seven times a day over two meds. NHS brilliant again.

My Ancestry DNA test kit came today. Will be excited to see what that comes back with. I’d put my money on Celtic, a sprinkling of VIking and a dollop of Italy or the likes. The dollop only based on skin tone of father and grand mother.

Please keep us posted, I am tempted to do this myself but my only concern is how secure is your data. The family story is Denmark or Sweden around 900, moved to France and then kicked out with Huguenots for a move to Worcestershire.
One man at work did a DNA test and came back as non-human, under 1%. He was thrilled!

Yeah I will keep you updated. I know I have LOT OF Scottish blood and can trace the male line back to 1100 ! All due to ancestors who at one stage were Scottish nobles. Better records were kept for nobles. I have a massive family tree with a few generations in Victorian times have 12 kids !!!
I personally don’t have an issue with data.

It was explained in the notes that non human should be interpreted as non Homo sapiens, to me that comment raised more questions than it explained but the individual went along with it, which says a lot.
