Having seen Kleenex Mansize dropped due to its sexist agenda and before Manchester is renamed Personchester, why not grow a tache for cash, to help those with cancer? That is man or woman.

Ok I'll stop trying to be funny, back to the point, is anyone participating this year in Movember? Pics as usual are crucial, zoom in for those with bum fluff :)

Just over a week to go! Would the forum participate in this? I have done it before, and I'll check with my wife first

Yes we try and get involved each year, I personally don't grow a moustache but always good to see others.

Don’t hold it against @Nishy, he has a whole loft of gear to get through........every square centimetre uses up some gear (soap/brush/blade/razor/balm) anticipated next REQUIRED purchase for Nishy 10th May 2453 and you just know there is more currently jamming the UK postage system.

Can't "like" this post in the strictest sense. But get and appreciate your comment
Thank you @dc68, I know what you mean, sometimes the “like” button doesn’t seem appropriate.

I think it’s why I love TOBS Sandlewood scent, reminds me of Brylcreem also, but mostly reminds me of the scent in the bathroom when my Dad was shaving.
Sadly I was too young to be given any shaving guidance, but did start off with a DE and struggled for a few years with Wilkinson Sword blades, as Dad swore by them, not realising blade brand differences, only to give up and go to cartridges.

My recent return was prompted by Sainsbury’s (yet again) not having the menthol King of Shaves gel in, prompting me to remember how I much preferred the brush and soap puck from years before (even though I was using it drastically wrong).
I got home to Google wondering if they still existed and found a wealth of businesses solely dealing in DE shaving, a video by Brian of The Executive Shaving Company tutorial on how to DE shave and this wonderful forum.

Six months in with no looking back and had my best shave yesterday BBS with a Shark Super Stainless (kindly donated to me by @Wayne (sorry waynetta) on its third outing in my Tech (£9 on eBay).

I know this malarkey is going to cost me a hell of a lot more than it has so far, but for the moment I am concentrating on technique and consistency.......though soaps are building........and I fancy a 23mm synthetic........and a Blackbird.......and .........

Thank you @Nishy (you know I’m only jealous of your loft hoarde).
Lost my Dad to suicide 39 years ago, so it is a subject close to home.
Will look into it and see if it is something I can get behind.
Sorry to hear this @Grishnak, trust me my collection is but a raindrop in a puddle when compared to others. Still OTT though :)

Thank you Nishy, it feels a lifetime ago now though.

I was joking about your collection, I think it was your chat on your straight razor video, around the time of moving house, talking about numerous boxes in the loft that inspired my thoughts.

My collection would currently fit in a shoebox with room for another razor, brush and soap puck.
