I can’t remember any thing other than that nasty paste, that my mum fed me as a kid. Not much I won’t eat apart from Celery, cant stand the stuff.I don’t remember anything my Mother fed me that I ate reluctantly, although I never liked greasy lamb much. What I do remember as disgusting was sago or tapioca pudding for school dinners. That and the green kidneys with tubes in…

I had parents of the rationed food generation so no food was wasted and we ate what we were given too.I ate whatever my Mother had the decency to make us without a single moan. Glad to have it.
I ate what I was given too, but from an early age I was food curious and wanted to try new things. Now I’ll eat pretty much anything, I don’t like broccoli but if it arrived on my plate I’d eat it.I ate whatever my Mother had the decency to make us without a single moan. Glad to have it.
My son for some reason isn’t great at trying new things, but my daughter will try anything. Both love veg.I ate what I was given too, but from an early age I was food curious and wanted to try new things. That reminds me, when I was a nipper milk was rationed, amongst other things, so I was brought up on powdered milk, Klim, mainly. To this day I don’t like drinking milk, but have it in my tea. I do, however, like cream and cheese of any sort, but plain milk…bleh. Go figure. There was still some food rationing when I was quite young. Mother told me I once ate the week’s cheese ration in one go before she could stop me. Still love cheese!

I never liked plain milk. Recently I have moved over to alternatives as I seem to have an intolerance to dairy. I’ve found Oat very nice, I can drink that plain. Has a naturally sweeter taste, does make for a different tasting tea and coffee, nice in coffee but not quite the same in tea. Great on cereal. That reminds me, when I was a nipper milk was rationed, amongst other things, so I was brought up on powdered milk, Klim, mainly. You just reminded me of something else I hated growing up....powdered milk. Mom used to do a half and half to save a few pennies.
