The Progress is aimed at the more mature shaver -- someone with a finger's width between nose and upper lip. The plastic end is emblematic of the Progress, and as such, an icon should never be denigrated, Lather Boy!I did enjoy the Progress, just couldn't befriend the head, too bulky (even though I enjoy the PILS) and hard to shave under the nose? Same with the Megress, although this got rid of that plastic end
I also remember a post you wrote a couple of years ago exclaiming the merits and sophistication of the Progress' head. How soon they forget.

I'm not surprised I heralded the razor, I was future proofing sales so we could have enough ferrules in the future.

I have aTatara and have a love/hate relationship with it. I think we all need a mild razor in the rotation but I want to use it more than I do, when I do it disappoints. I have agreed a trade for another mild razor, one I have had before when my technique was not as good, the ATT S1. Hopefully I can get the best out of it now. Mild razors do come in handy at times, such as holidays.

Strangely I couldn't get along with the S1. I found it to be milder than the original Mamba. The S2 is a different beast. I probably should have given it a longer run, used it 3 times only.

I feel the same about all the ATT's which is why I'm happy to revisit it. If it is still mild I shall keep it for holidays when I shave daily.

You already said it but the Razorock Mamba is great , I don't own it but borrowed it from a friend and i need it in my life.

I'm more and more finding myself going the smooth, mild, but still efficient route. 40's Super Speed and Canadian Tech are the best in my collection. I more and more feel that I'd rather find a nice Aristocrat than try some of the modern offerings, just because I get such great shaves from the Super Speed, but really not loving the handle.
