Shave report!!!
Well from the first shave it would appear that the Spirit hits a very good sweet spot for me. I started out with a Kai Mild blade and the resulting shave was very gentle to the skin whilst delivering a very close shave. Already I know I will not need to tone it down to the guarded Kai blade (as with the Vector and, to some extent, the AC1 from Shield) and that I should cope nicely with both the Schick and Feather pro blades. I look forward to trying these in the coming days.

Mine has arrived this morning! It looks and feels excellent, somewhere between the Vector and Claymore but nearer to the Vector side weight wise. The head looks amazing and the handle feels spot on! I can’t wait to try it out! No idea what’s happening with the forum and pictures but now I just get an option to put a link in rather than upload a picture.

Thanks mate - it is a full 16g lighter than a Vector and in my opinion it is better balanced with the weight forward.

Nice report. Enjoy your future shaves.

First shave with the Spirit is done. After reading some of the descriptions, I thought this razor may be too assertive for me. As a reference point - I found the Vector too assertive but enjoyed the Claymore Evo.

The Spirit feels surgical in use. So light and nimble. The shave was very comfortable. Not what i was expecting. This is the first shave - I'll report back here after my future shaves. I'll also use a non (glacial) mentholated soap for the next shave. I'm not sure if the couple of patches on my jaw line are due to me finding my feet with the razor or the fact I could barely see through my streaming eyes because the Stirling Glacial was so strong!!

Id very much like your thoughts comparing the La Faulx as that’s a recent new use

Razor: Alpha Shaving Works The Spirit
Blade: Feather Pro, 1st use
Brush: Highlander 2023 TSR Limited Edition Yaqi Tuxedo Knot
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Soap: Shannon’s Soaps Mars Puck
Balm: Bart's Balm BEN KILBRECK Balm
Fragrance: Channel Allure Eau de Toilette

Well, well, well @AlphaShaving hasn't someone just knocked it out the park! For a first shave I found it nimble and agile, the head angle doesn’t take long to get used to and I got a lovely smooth shave straight away with a feather blade that I normally find takes a while to settle in. For a first shave I think it’s spot on! The weight and balance is great, the finish is lovely too. It’s more efficient than the Claymore, and way more manoeuvrable but sweetly in a mid range efficiency wise, easily usable hopefully for daily use! It’s been a while since I got a new razor and had forgotten that The Spirit was in development but am very glad I’ve got one so early. On first impressions I feel it’s likely quickly going to hit my top 2 SE’s time will tell of it hits number one!
