The modern vacs are trash, just like they were in the 50s and 60s. My Mother was a RN for 40 years. She told all us kids she was sorry for getting us those shots. If you cant believe your mum, who can you believe.

We did not get MMR shots, we got M, M and R, and not 70 years later, we are still good to go.

Please dont compare third world Africa with the rest of the world. We have running water and the loo is inside.

BTW I am not an anti-vac person, could care less. My daughter grew up with out those shots, and her kids did until my grand boy went into the Marines, and they made him.

It is only there to illustrate what a lack of an organized national immunization program can lead to. I doubt very much there would be thousands of deaths had there been one in place. Yes, substandard living conditions do not help in the least but the number of deaths and size of the outbreak would have been much, much smaller I am sure. So far the outbreaks in the West. if I can put it that way, have been small and easily contained. Likely due to the fact that we are still helped to a great extent by immunization programs even though I recent years these have hit and miss in application and to some degree a better standard of living.
