There are 168 hours in a week. Worst case it's about 1 hour spent on cleaning each week. That's less than 1% of the "weekly time" spent on cleaning. So yeah, not a big deal.

This is what can happen to a straight razor if folded with blade wet after shave and left overnight so I wipe blade with paper or t-shirt or hand, strop it 10 laps on leather, leave it overnight with blade open.

After use I take the blade out and dry it. I use a blade max 3 times.
Razor is taken apart and washed with water and sometimes with tooth brush. The a quick dry with a towel and I left the razor on a towel in parts to dry.

I rinse my razors and put them back in the stand until next use. Every week I'll use a different razor. If the soap scum builds up to much I'll clean them with a toothbrush and soapy water or toothpaste. It's often months between these more intensive cleanings, with a rinse and a dry sufficient for me. I only disassemble the razor when replacing the blade.
