I do get the bleach type smell from it as opposed to the usual badger funk but I actually prefer that to the usual funk. It seems to go a bit quicker when cycling through the test lathers to break it in. It's lost a few hairs , mainly unattached and incomplete hairs. I'd say during the course of 6 test lathers and one actual use it has shed 2 hairs which is well within the new (inexpensive) brush tolerances for me. I was quite impressed with the packaging for the money as well. i went with the cardboard and it's a very sturdy box indeed. the ridiculously tall drip stand raised a smile as well

It seems they've just added a 26mm version of the barbershop handle in the american eBay shop.
However, unlike his other brushes it seems only to be available in one knot: 3-band silvertip and handle color: horn.
