Any one a fan of Linen shirts and where do you get yours from ? I have a few, mostly white short sleeves, couple that go over head and have around three buttons and a others that button top to bottom. Also have a couple of long sleeves. Purchased from Good old M&S, White Stuff and Next, (have binned a few of them as they were a Linen and Cotton mix horrible after a couple of washes). Think 8 need to branch out more to other makers. I do though find them comfy on hot days, bugger to iron too.

M&S but I've abandoned linens in favour of laundered Oxfords as they suit my shape better now, before I lost weight the loose fit linens were great for hiding the rolls under :D

Looking around for other brands myself as everything I've bought from M&S this year has literally fallen to bits in a matter of months, won't buy clothing from there ever again... And I've worn their underwear since I was a boy. The quality is now on par with Primark (sometimes worse) but with an inflated price.

Growing up in Texas, as a teenager I fell in love with Madras linen shirts. They were exceptionally cool (in the hot Texas sun, and in style). I never had any shirts with the colourful vibrancy of these shirts, and the best part -- they were NO IRON! Wrinkles were expected. All part of the Indian mystic. As I grew into adulthood and I needed a linen shirt for school, or work, there was only one: Ralph Lauren Polo Irish linen with button-down collars.

Wear linen for a good part oF year here in India. I am a big fan.
I read somewhere that linen shirts can make your skin temperature lower by nearly 1 C because of the way hydrophobic linen falls and Flap around skin.

i love a linen shirt. ive got them from M&S, white stuff, next and probably my favourites are jaeger. i quite like it when they end up going a bit wonky in the wash :)

Trouble is M&S and Next all seem to be a Linen / Cotton mix at the moment, and they don’t keep the same as Pure Linen. I’ve found as well if they are a little wrinkled they seem to sort themselves out once on for a short time.

I’ve ordered a couple from UniQlo, not tried that brand before but they have a sale and were £19.90 for long sleeved Pure Linen I’ll update when then arrive.

I can suggest a white sleeveless undershirt, underneath your shirt, to absorb the sweat.

I've never really understood those things. The first place that I sweat is my pits. That thing does absolutely nothing to protect from having your nice dress shirt stained in the pit area.

The other problem with those shirts is when worn under a dress shirt, often you can see the outline of the undershirt through the dress shirt especiallly if you happen to be darker skinned. While you can see where the sleeves end on a regular undershirt, I think the look is more buttoned up, neater, more professional and more protective, which is the entire purpose anyway. Having spent much of my career shuttling around on NYC's subways during the dead of summer where it can be a good 10 degrees hotter down there than on the street, a full regular undershirt is essential to avoid looking like a wet rat.
