Love both of those! I’m going to have to look into getting an Acer they’re beautiful.
I have a few and just cannot get them to grow. They come back every year, with few little leaves but nothing like Wayne's... I guess I don't have green fingers!

Yeah and in lockdown I’m doing too much wax on- wax off. I’m going blind.... slowly.
When I was younger, I was told that I looked like Daniel-San, I used to do karate too, so I had a lot of similarities.

My wife and I love Japanese maple. At present we have 3 mature ones in our garden: 2 Bloodgood and 1 Crimson Queen. The Crimson Queen is particularly interesting because it is a small tree with a weeping aspect and dissected leaf. All 3 are lovely when they are in full leaf.

Had one of these by the Koi Pond for several years then for no obvious reason last year - dead as a dodo. :(
