The Amonatura brush and the Kampfe single edge arrived today.

Re the brush I can sense we go back to Tuxedo grade here.
Been years since I sat down to examine or read about the evolution of brush fibres, so cannot say much more other than share a couple of pictures so you guys can judge.

I gave the brush a test lather, its behavior is well balanced, it appears with medium-to-good density, splay is above medium, flow-through well above medium (but then again I am judging from the perspective of someone who has as reference the characteristics of the 21mm or 23mm Muhle STF line of brushes).

The Focus single edge clone is very, very well made. This guy produces top stuff, and even before I received the Focus clone tonight I ordered earlier another razor from Kampfe.











Edit: The brush handle has a beautiful glossy finish.
The Rimowa 20" carry-on in the Kampfe picture is ...also a clone (and a very good one actually), cost me 31 quid three weeks back.

Better than Colorlamb?

The Colorlamb has reasonable blade exposure but (to me) significant blade gap.
The Focus is pretty mild from what I can susspect.

Colorlamb has good to very good build quality. Its handle is a tad thin midway but overall balance is not bad.
Focus is aluminium, has much better handle in weight feel and balance, head quality of finish is on par or just under par as compared to this 'Focus'.

Thanks. Shaved with thr Colorlamb , it was a good shave, but in the ATG pass, the handle was somekind awkward to hold.

I also found to have a bit narrow shave angle.
