I have a bit of a shadow even after a shave. Not like some guys, but it is noticeable.

On my neck, you will always see the black / blue beard line.
I remember a newbie on B & B who was "disappointed at the blue outline" after a shave. After some time and further posts, we discovered that he thought DE shaving would get rid of any trace of a beard at all, even under the skin. He had been shaving harder and harder and closer and closer to achieve this (god only knows what those shaves looked like, I could only picture him scraping several layers of skin off while muttering "Would you do me..? I'd do me...").

I see it most possible to see the veins under your skin than your beard.
If I use my 34C and do less than 4 passes, I can feel them also.

Shaved today on a three days growth. Was left nothing short of a BBS. The proverbial cotton ball would have slid across my face without leaving a single trace. Looking at a selfie I took with my daughter straight after the shave, I was indeed reminded of how I simply cannot escape my dark beard.
