The more I think about this the more I hope it's a big success. Anything that helps promote home country manufacturing at lower price points should be seen as a big step forward. Investment in new technologies that help European and American companies become less reliant on Asian manufacturing and cheap labour can only be a good thing.

Great price point...delighted that weight and balance are positively impacted by the semi-hollow handle. Grips sound interesting. I do not understand the manufacturing process, would be great to see a short, illustrative video. It sounds like a lot of thought and care has gone into the razor. Congratulations.

AFAIK, it's usually a metal powder annealed using a heated point or a laser.

This isn’t the method we use. DMLS is more expensive, less scalable, and less precise. We’re using a novel and proprietary type of manufacturing created by 3DEO designed to be cost competitive with MIM and to produce small parts at scale with incredible accuracy. It’s a hybrid model combining principles from MIM, CNC, and printing. Listen to my podcast interview where I cover it in depth.

We do have a video coming which contains some footage of the printing in action. 3DEO.co also has information on their process. No other company in the world makes parts this way so they are the only resource to understand this technology.
