Now comes the test of willpower
Yes, that is so. One thing I can't see the need for is a titanium razor. For me it is complete over kill and far too expensive for any benefit it might provides. A stainless steel razor has the finish baked in with no plating to wear off and does not require you to be a weight lifter to use.

The R41 Ti, Berlin and London werent / aren't astronomically priced and are beautiful shavers.
I said I would say my jaded pov and I am sorry if it differs from yours but there it is.

No need to be sorry, I was simply pointing out that the Ti R41 is priced lower than many of the stainless razors.

I only have vintage blade holders and vintage straights. I only bought the ones for which I had an interest which limited my acquisitions. Fortunately, I never got into soaps and brushes, so only three brushes. I still use Barbasol Shaving Cream when I want to. Opinions are like body parts, everybody has one or two...LOL!!
For me, the value I have derived from shaving forums is beard mapping which allows a BBS with any tool. This is my "jaded POV".

I’m done buying too. I wouldn’t say I’m jaded, just moving on from the hunt. After receiving my AS-D2 I felt comfortable enough to pause and realize it was time to stop looking.
I’m also set for blades and I have much less interest in shopping for…. anything really.
I guess it’s time to settle and enjoy what I already have.

Those that remain are acoustic. Two have K&K transducers installed so I can play out without mic-ing.
That is true but then again those higher priced stainless steel razors are not ones I'd buy either. RR or Rockwell stainless steel razors do just fine for me. As always others are free to follow their own their own povs.

I’m not jaded at all, btw. Still having tons of shaving fun! If my whiskers grew faster I’d shave twice a day
My collection of razors is relatively small; in total, around two dozen or so. I use most (~20) during the course of rotating through the collection.
Blades and soaps (rotation and backups) are completely “Goldilocks manageable” in my head. Assuming I live into my 80s I likely won’t need to buy any more soaps or blades. Brushes otoh, are my Achilles heel. I agree with your premise that three is adequately sufficient, but… I can’t seem to get down to much less than 30. Even when I sell some, I wind up buying more. In fact just last night I ordered an Omega boar from @Paul at Connaught. One of those green acrylic numbers. There’s way more hair on my shelf than on my head!
