This hobby appeals to folk in differing ways. Some are collectors of vintage blade holders, or the newest. Others are into honing and collecting straight razors. Some love brushes. My advice is to enjoy whatever you find you are drawn to.

I had 25-30 on the go at one point. That was a bit silly. Here’s a photo from 2017:
I got caught up in the hype - which exploded about ten years ago - around the latest and greatest soap bases. Yet I somewhat regret selling and donating that horde. I should still be slowly making my way through it.
I’ve only got one on the go now: DRH Marlborough. I hope to finish it by spring - the scent is a bit dark for the warmer months. I’ve already got a refill of Arlington to replace it with.
