How many shaves per blade?

I save until I "think" there's a difference then I change it. I use the word think as there's times I'm almost looking for an excuse to swap - if I've got something new to try for example.

Normally I change blades after 3 or 4 shaves but it really depends. You get to know after a while when it's time to switch.

Usually 4 but sometimes less. At this way I have around 15 years of blades left and I am trying to speed up the change to buy more

I change out my blade after each shave. I use Feathers exclusively. Purchased in bulk lots of 200 blades, they are 40 cents each. Shaving every other day, this represents a weekly cost of $1.60. And that's Canadian money :) I want the sharpest blade possible in the same razor each time for consistency. Chopping and changing is restricted only to my soap and brush. I find this gives me repeatable results at least within a margin of error I can live with.

PolSilver I use a touch longer 4-5
I absolutely love DE blades for some odd reason and have many kinds. I’ve stopped buying, thankfully, and don’t think I could use all of em up in my lifetime.

3 uses and then it's "adios". I must have enough blades numbering well into 4 figures, of many different makes, and as I currently have 72 DE razors, modern and vintage, I like to change razors and use a different make of blade. I've given up trying to organise this, and its Lucky Dip Time every 3 days.

But the acronym YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) is the best answer to your question. It has to do with your skin, hair thickness, pre-shave routine, numbers of passes, length of growth, blade aso aso.

Yes, those are German, you have to check where they are made, white or black, same blade.
