Hello from Norway

Hi

I'm 56 years old, from Norway, and I’ve been into wet shaving for about 15 years now. I shave every other day, but I never take it for granted that every single shave is going to be optimal—even though the final result usually turns out great. For me, the magic lies in the process itself and feeling the subtle differences from day to day.

I'm quite fascinated by artisan soaps and fragrances, and I’m pretty sure I’ve already bought enough soap to last a lifetime, yet I still often find myself reaching for the budget classics like Proraso, La Toja, Haslinger, Speick, and Cella, which I think perform just as well as the high-end stuff.

When it comes to razors, I’m not really a tech nerd over designs or specs. I’m much more focused on the technical finesse of the shave itself, as I feel like I'm still learning and refining my technique. That said, I'm pretty sure I've already found the razors that's right for me—though I constantly find myself tempted to explore, and I know how dangerously deep this rabbit hole can get!

When everything clicks 100%, from the lather to the final pass, I remember exactly why I spend time on this instead of using a cartridge razor.

Looking forward to reading and learning more from all of you!
