Does the razor pit really work? I strop my Mach 3 on denim before my head shaves but still can only manage 3 or 4 good shaves.

A fellow head shaver also, although used to have long hair a 'few' years ago.... but we wont go there..... Super pleased to say I'm now bald!!
I use the Headblade razor, and find this to be fantastic. Very comfortable and smooth shave. I find that I cannot use shaving soap with this set-up as the blades get clogged too quickly. I use the HB6's at the mo (6 bladed cartridge).

Its very good IMO. They are running a deep discount on the stainless version. I would go for that one.
Also, its nice that with the Moto you can use Dorco carts (same maker actually, like wooky said). It seems to me like HeadBlade is further going the proprietary-blade-route
We know what happens when they do that, so I'd say now is the right time. Jeez, I think I'm sold on getting one of those.
@vtmax I believe you have both the all plastic and the SS-plastic versions. Is the extra cost for the SS-plastic version worth it?

Actually I prefe the lighter plastic Moto. One would think the stainless would be the better shaver but for head shaves the lighter model works best for me. HeadBlade also improved their finger ring by tightening it up, more rounded, on the plastic model.
Again, I use the Moto on 24 hours or as a finisher if I have longer growth. It’s not meant to whack off four days worth in one pass.
I’m home in Ireland at the moment and noticed some of the finest head shaves I’ve gotten have been from the Schick Hydro 3 followed by the Moto.
I much prefer DE’s for face shaves but easily get better head shaves with carts. No shame in that!
You just saved me the equivalent of almost 3 all-plastic motos. Thanks!

Twice a week (once, on occasion) head and face shaver. Equipment varies, but most shaves will be a combo of the above. Hair density, coarseness, WAY too many cowlicks, and very sensitive skin make carts unusable for my head. In fact, I never could properly or comfortably shave my own head until I switched to DEs about three and a half years ago. Gotta prep properly and use good technique, but DEs make all the difference in the world for me!

I'm exactly the same when it comes to head shaving. I've never found an OC that I can successfully shave my head with.

I’ve had some pretty bad bleeders when using OCs (I’m using the word bleeder rather than weeper because they were that bad!)
SB everyday for my head now.

I like to mix things up and use a cart on my head once in a while, and I used a Feather F3 / Samurai Edge cart for the first time on my head tonight and, whilst it's a pretty ugly razor, it performed very well.
It's not as efficient as a Feather MR3 Neo (which gives the closest shave I've ever had from a cart), but it was as smooth and as efficient as using a Timeless 0.95 SB or Rockwell 6S.
The cartridges work out to be cheaper than Feather Guards and can be had for the same price as Kai Protouch blades (hence it's roughly as economical as using the more expensive blades in an AC SE system, which makes it great value for a cart). A Razorpit should extend their life much beyond the life of an AC SE blade though.
It's certainly a razor I'll be using again. [emoji846]
