Hard Water Hacks?

So some of us, damned by geography, must work with hard water when shaving. Granted soaps are getting better and formulas are changing with this in mind...but for some of the classic soaps, no such reformulations have transpired, and that's fine...kind of. Distilled water works great but can be a pain, especially if you have to heat it. I personally find a squirt of lemon juice works great for chelating but I'm curious what others may do. Whatcha got?

I'm the lovely Lake District so have no hard water issues, just the loveliest freshest water in the UK

Use more soap or cream.

I am lucky enough to have good water at home but at my parents house where the water is very hard I shave with bottled water.

A water softener! Best investment for shaving.

Load the brush for longer, I guess, never known any different.
Certainly never got a shave from " half a dozen swirls on the puck " that I often read. More like a solid half minute or more of vigorous brushing.

I live in an area of very hard water, yet experience zero issues with lathering even the perceived finicky soaps?

Just load more. If the lather is still crap, use another soap. Plenty of others out there.
