Gillette taking on Straight Razor

Apparently Gillette now compares Straight razors to Cartridges!

I would have at least compared it to DE razors before I even got to Straights. I’m sure everyone is going to start selling their straights now since Gillette opened their eyes to the world.

'What is better - Keeping a Huge Beard or using a Super Profusion 10 Blade'

Seriously, who the f*** would read that and think 'Yep, I will stop using a cut throat razor'.

Basically they are just reiterating why most shavers use carts today instead of straight razors. Not many today want to put in the time, effort and money to learn how to use and maintain a straight razor. They just want to shave the easiest and quickest way possible.

Bit of an odd thing for Gillette to publish. I wonder if the growing popularity in traditional wetshaving, barbering and new razor companies springing up has been effecting their sales?

I also wonder how many straights are floating around in the sea compared to cartridges?

Gillette conveniently left comparing the environmental impact that both technologies have off their list.
