Gillette like Astra SP?

Like many of you I’m not satisfied with the latest Astra SP blades. I don’t think the recent change was just the etching rather than ink, I found the blade not as smooth as the original.
So my question is, to your knowledge and experience is there a Gillette blade that is similar to the original ASTRA SP?
I’m narrowing it down to Gillette because I want a blade that is easy to source and that is not likely to change or disappear.
Thanks

Have you tried the Shark Carlo? I can send you some if you like?
Tried them a long time ago...if I remember a a bit less sharp than the SP? Thanks for the offer but I want to narrow down to Gillette really, or the choice will be overwhelming...

Seems like gillette are changing all of the blades coming out of the Russian factory. I've bought 100 perma sharps this week and they now have the etched blade and different packaging.

Am im sure they have done a couple more but cannot remember which ones.

I'm struggling with blades since Astra SP have changed. I have tried many. None represent the smoothness whilst remaining dull that the SP's provided. A Gillette 7 O'Clock green on its 2nd use has been the closest or older Sputnik blades. Everything else has a crisper edge than the SP.

My recent stock of SP have been fine, up there with Nacet and 7 o'clock Yellow. I use these three out of preference. Still have some Personna Red to use up - they're not bad either. Put any of these in a R41 or Fatip and they will shave.
