I think it's amazing that the Fusion 5 can be put to good use. I have many mates of mine who have stuck with and swear by their cartridge razors. Somehow, they never worked for me. I always had razor burn, a ton of painful bumps after each shave and used to avoid shaving as much as I could, limiting myself to one or two shaves a month unless it was necessary to go through the pain.

That all changed with my first DE Razor which turned me into an every other day or daily shaver. I started looking forward to each shave. Having said that I respect shavers who still use cartridge razors and don't feel the need to change over. Even more I admire those that can derive joy from using both Cartridge and DE razors.

Yeah exactly the same for me - i get red rash around my neckline if i solely use a cartridge or electric razor for shaving.

I keep the Fusion 5 only for quick top-up shaves or light cleaning up and i dont get any ill effects that way.

I always use a DE for clearing a path through the wild scrubland first ... There is no better feeling than a fresh DE blade slicing effortlessly through 3 days growth and i have found the BIC Platinum's particularly good at this
