Gillette Heated Razor

After Gillette's limited trial range sold out in less than a week on Indiegogo, the Heated Razor was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 where it won 'Engadget's People's Choice Award.'

Another high tech solution to a non-existent problem. This insinuates there is no requirement thus no demand.
If you’d posted that originally I wouldn’t have questioned it.

I’m amazed that so many people wanted to stump up that much for it. Still, at least the blades are only £3 each.

The comment about the non-existent problem wasn’t mine though.

Do you want to buy some soap?

If you have a certain expendable income, and are into expensive things there could well be a buyer. I buy my bedsheets from TK Maxx at £18.00 a time RRP £89.00. Others buy Italian Frette type sheets at £1000.00 ago.
I don't understand it, but I don't criticise it. Their annual bonuses are probably more than my salary.

Another high tech solution to a non-existent problem does not insinuate there will be no demand. Only that from my pov it is not anywhere near necessary. There will be a demand as people always go for the new and improved which sometimes is and sometimes is not depending on your pov.

Probably may end up being barred from hand luggage on aircraft too, i can envisage a problem with the "heat bar" switching on mid flight and causing smoke/fire in the overhead.

There are cordless curling tongs and straighteners that get far hotter than this would get and they are allowed in hand luggage

So reading countless interviews from the GilletteLabs team on other sites and it seams these bored product engineers were thinking they somehow would be giving men a taste of a hot towel shave at home......wtf!

Why not have a towel that you heat and place on your face to soften hairs?

And this isn’t the first time Gillette has tried to offer a product that they believe will supply a hot towel experience without an actual blooming hot towel. In the 70s they seem to have released a self-heating goo in a can they called "The Hot One". Now this is an idea that I like a bit more. And it mirrors Darrons funny deepheat soap idea.

Now that you mention it, I do recall The Hot One. Never did try one though. Also never found any use for the hot towel treatment in shaving either.

Did you notice that the can is labelled "mint menthol"? So it's hot, but cooling?
