Get my mojo back

Thanks, Toby for the WOOHOO! I’ll second the HELL YEAH!!! Although I’m constantly on “high alert”, two years ago (Feb. 4, ‘20) my heart was in my throat, now it’s almost where it should be.

Gayle thinks a cure is pipe dream. When we look at the statements from the doctors, hospital, insurance, there’s so much money being charged and made, she says there’s no incentive to find a cure.
She has a point that's hard to argue with, but cancer is one evil that we need to get a handle on. And after all, patients can't pay any more after they're gone, so there is some incentive to slow it down or stop it at least temporarily.

Too much thinking and self reflection can bring a person down. There’s generally some bright spot to look for, something to grab hold of. I say this from experience. My wife and best friend of 39 years years was diagnosed at the start of the pandemic with stage 4 lung cancer. She’s still here, and we’re awaiting our first grandchild in April (can I get a woohoo?!?) Sometimes it’s best to let things go, whatever they may be, and listen to the old adage, stop and smell the roses.
@chazt ...Just read this..

Woohoo, Charlie.. Congratulations. Grandchildren are one of life's greatest gifts!

@Wayne

I have a few interests, and they wax and wane over time. They always come back around, though, and become dominant once again, like a continuous circle... Sometimes a little time off is a good thing.. it renews us..

It’s probably not just this forum mate
sometimes life just gets in the way.
take your time, remember everything that you liked in wet shaving & hopefully it comes back to you.
i would say there might been deeper issues but i hope i’m wrong & it’s not for here.
Good Luck and all the very best to you
hopefully you find the spark you need

Accumulating razors was more fun than using, but if I couldn’t use, I wouldn’t be interested.
I was going to say that on first reading the title of the thread I was going to suggest a small blue tablet.:D

Wayne I shave twice a week now, have had a beard for about 3 years and have only bought 3 knock off shavettes and the Tedalus in the last few years (I think that's it). Definitely seen other hobbies grow such as aftershaves and watches. Apart from that I wish I had more time on my hands just to have some banter on the site but that's life. Keep your chin up mate and be happy that you achieved what you wanted; knowing how to have a damn good shave when you need it.

Hi Lads.
I know there are a loads of new members that don't know me and lots of the original members of this forum that do. I need help. I have completely lost my shaving mojo. I've gone from a complete enthusiast to a chore shaver again.
I rarely shave more than one a week. I just reach for the nearest Soap and virtually any blade in my box will give me an acceptable shave, so I do not bother which one I choose. Same for the razor. I used to really enjoy the forum, it's comeraderie and everything about shaving.
How do I get my Mojo back?
Hi buddy, I'd like some information on one of your brushes you sold

Bit late on parade but I know what you mean. I have not lost the love, I just know what works for me now. I have issues here too . Wife terminally ill and things not easy so lucky if I get time to shave once a week. I have loads of gear to sell but have not got the time ( or inclination ) to do it. I love my Rockwells and my birth date Gillettes. I know what blades work for me and what soaps I like. Job done really and ATG has been a major part in my 'journey'. Still have the site open all the time on the 'plutor though. Habit. Regards to you and all anyway.

I missed this post also. Sorry for whatever problems you might be facing, Wayne, I cannot and won't pretent to be in any position to give any advice, just wish you best if luck.

Regarding our little hobby, it's just that. A hobby. Don't pressure yourself into getting your mojo back. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't.... Well, we'll be the poorer for it, I personally do enjoy reading your posts.

Cheers!
