Geo F. Trumper Limes Skin Food

Hi fella's

A bottle of the famous Trumpers Limes Skin Food was included within my the recent Secret Santa, Thank you Santa. I am finding it's scent unbelievably uplifting and great for a Pre-shave or as an After-shave balm.
I do have one issue however, I have noticed that if it gets near my lips, that I am left with tingling sensation followed by numbness . Has anyone else had this issue?

Never noticed that. However I only had a sample of the lime but I've used 2 bottles of the sandalwood with no issue.

I have used the Lime (100 ml) and the Sandlewood (100ml and almost finished the 200ml bottle). Daily user - great stuff and no problems.

I have been using the coral skin food and it makes my skin tingle, a bit like the prickly feeling you get from some shaving brushes. Oddly it does not do it every time I use it.

Check the ingredients. Tartrazine is one of them. It can cause a reaction in some people

Thanks for tip, will look into this further I don't recall any other products I have doing this so maybe this is the cause for me at least with the coral skin food.

Many of these pre & post shave products are nothing more than bad chemical concoctions designed to trick us into thinking they're good for us...

Don't remember ever having an issue with this, nor the Coral - apart from its pinkness, scent and being followed by strange men with tubes of Smarties

I voted Yes, but the sensation I experienced was itching. I find that most skin foods and balms leave my face feeling 'odd'; they seem to enhance any irritation from my shave. Accordingly, I use only alcohol-based aftershaves, preferably with a touch of menthol, which leave my face feeling soothed, clean and invigorated.

I bought the Lime and Coral when I first got into straight shaving - I think I was influenced by someone on a forum called Shave my Face. I found them OK with no problems but have long since stopped using them in favour of Jaeggers pre shave cream and Myresol Emulsion as a balm.
