Amazon Prime is running the movie from the book, The Shack. I've read the book four times. It might not be of interest for all audiences.

Just binge watched the original Top Gun and the remake.

I hope they remake the film for ten years time using the original cast, maybe call it Top Gum.

Mrs P made me watch the first one when she was shocked to find I hadn't seen it the first time round.

After I had endured it, my opinion, that I didn't say out loud, was that it was a load of macho nonsense and basically just a long recruitment ad for the US Navy.

Not that I disagree with what you said, but I enjoy a movie where you can put your mind in neutral and just be entertained. :) It's escapism where you can blissfully ignore the reality of the world.

A favourite of mine and a perennial must watch, “A Christmas Story” from 1983. I even have a scaled down version of the notorious leg lamp and an autographed photo of Ralphie’s teacher, Miss Shields (played by Tedde Moore). Both were gifts from my daughter, who is a friend of Moore’s.

I'll never forget the reaction by the first Mrs P when she saw Robert Plant in all his glory on the big screen for the first time.

And her a quiet, churchgoing girl too...
