Just finished using the AC Feather DX Japanese razor using a Super Professional blade. Even after 7 shaves, this blade is still performing well and especially as I grow more comfortable using.

What I like best is the various holds I can employee as well as the ease in which the handle can be rolled in my fingers to shave the rounded facial parameters including the area around my nostrils.

Except for the difference between the Western and Japanese type RBSR, the feel and result are the same between the SS and DX. Knowing what I know now, I am still glad I got the DX.

As i said in other threads, we are all different, both in skin/beard type and experience. @JamieM is like Master Yoda with straight razors, we're still Padawans. And as i said earlier, just to give a different example, the Feather Super Pro is great for me in the SS clone, but just a little bit too much in tge DX. The regular sized ones like the Kai Titan PINK or Schick Proline are perfect in the DX and a little bit less efficient in the SS clone in the sense that a BBS lasts a shorter amount of time.

You don’t know this until now. I have read dozens and dozens of your posts over the years concerning your experiences with various razors. I appreciate that you share your thoughts, and appreciate you for doing so.

This might be an alternative for using the AC blades. This is the one which accomodates single or twin AC blades. There is another from the same source which takes one. I have the one that accommodates one AC blade.

I've met great people here, and a lot of times i wished i was able to have a beer/pint, face to face with you all, or just send you out some shave products from my banana-state to try them out...

I am still learning about holders that accommodate Artist Club blades. Most have the same design as DE holders where the blade sits atop of the handle flat instead of traditional SE holders where the blade is at a slant as with Schick and PAL. Even moder plastic holders are at an angle.

Used my only non SR, the Jokmae with the Super Professional blade (8). Previously I had used a Pro Guard in this holder. I quickly felt the difference.

Yes, I’m also learning about AC blades. There does seem to be a very noticeable difference between various blades.

Be careful because I know you are experimenting with various blades which might be more dangerous that deciding on one and getting accustomed to it in a particular holder.

I was curious why the Super Professional cuts so well. I asked if a wider blade requires less energy to cut. The answer is no. What matters is the thickness behind the edge.
